One problem, not least in the induction heating, is the rapid heating and a resulting temperature gradient in the crucible. Here, the ceramic quickly reaches its limits. There are no problems according to this with our standard material "LT".
The specific composition of the material and the ceramic manufacturing technology are the basics to get a crucible with extremely good thermo-shock resistance. The crucibles are usually provided with a special coating that is sintered within the product.
The material is suitable for iron and steel as well as many non-ferrous metals and also precious metals.
